Sustainability ConsultancyMy website offering environmental policy for community organisations is called 'Place': www.place.net.nz |
So you are coming round to the opinion that your organisation needs a sustainability policy … good for you!
I could help with that.
Sustainability Consultancy is a rapidly growing field, so I’m sure you can find the right help near you. All the big consultancy firms now include environmental sustainability in what they offer. Plus there are several new consultancy teams that specialise in this. Some of the big players offer (for a price!) a full software package that will do the maths for you on emissions etc. Toitū EnviroCare has emerged as the leading player in providing tools and accreditation in NZ. Their Carbon Assess online tool is a great option for $30 a month.
What an independent consultant provides is a personal service to fit your situation, to express your values, and to galvanise your team behind your eco vision.
As Conversations Consultancy I am a sole trader, currently based in Christchurch NZ. I offer a fixed-price negotiated contract to facilitate your organisation in developing your very own sustainability policy and action plan.

Policy Areas
Sustainability planning contains a range of aspects, depending on your business and priorities. These can be incorporated into one policy document, or we may develop specific policies - such as:
• Environmental management
• Climate change preparedness
• Fuel, energy & carbon emissions
• Waste minimisation
• Other impacts e.g. water, chemicals
• Health & wellbeing
• Bicultural & Treaty partnership
• Innovation
Creativity and Innovation
I am passionate about sustainability strategy because it is a wide open space for creativity. Every organisation in NZ has the opportunity to find its own unique contribution to looking after our beautiful country. I step into your organisation expecting to meet people who care about the environment and have great ideas about how to do that. Consultancy creates the conversations to draw together the vision and inspiration of your team to move beyond compliance or impact minimisation into strategic collective action.
Supporting Refugee Resettlement
I am grateful to Nick Regnault for his encouragement and coaching in getting me started in this work. Built into each sustainability contract is a donation to his work in refugee resettlement.
