Psalm 62: Wait in Silence
For God alone my soul waits in silence. Hold open a door and just stand there breathe the air and wait. For God alone my soul waits in silence. Lay out a rug on the ground sit on it and wait. Any hope I have, any hope of salvation - it’s all from Christ. Any safety I have, anything solid in my life - it’s all from Christ, my mighty rock, my refuge. For God alone my soul waits in silence. Listen up, everyone – don’t trust in money; winning Lotto won’t save you from the lies and backstabbing that’s become normal in our world. There’s only one hope of salvation, one bit of solid ground and that is God. Trust in God anytime, anywhere, pour out your heart before him - for here is strong lasting love. Here is power and confidence and honour – worth the wait. So wait in silence, hold the silence. Trust the waiting. Note on the photo: 'The Baldness of Winter', Ian Thomson, June 2015 |
Psalm 62: My rock of salvation
For God alone I wait, I wait in silence, for God alone is my rock, my rock of salvation. When you feel that the world is against you and you can’t tell the lies from the truth - Put your trust in the Lord, for he is your strong safety. Pour out your heart to the Lord, for he is your true hope. For God alone I wait, I wait in silence, for God alone is my rock, my rock of salvation. If you’re rich, or if you’re poor - it matters not a bit to God. Don’t try to take what isn’t yours - your value is not in what you own. All love flows from the heart of God, All power belongs to God. For God alone I wait, I wait in silence, for God alone is my rock, my rock of salvation. |
